Default 94 Internal Air Filter for Cabin, where is it located?

Where is the air filter for inside the cabin of the 1994 Accord Ex? Mine is probably 10 years old and is in serious need of a change, all it does it spew out a terrible musty oder. Again im not talking about the engine air filter. Talking about the heating/air conditioning filter.

Thanks.

hey, hows those rims/tires working so far?

I just ran a search on here and it appears the 5th gens didn't have cabin filters, cabin filters started with the 6th gens. So your problem must be coming from something else, don't know what though. maybe something stuck in the passages/vents? ::

as touring says there is no filter on those ..
the proper and long lasting way to fix the smell is to remove the a/c evaporator, make sure you plug the lines coming into the evaporatr once removed so no water can get in ,duck tape works great, remove evap from cases and insulators, clean cases, insulators with water and soap after that get some fridgy-fresh and spray the insulators and cases put together ,,,,spary some fridgy-fresh in the air vents as well and let it sit there for a while before turning on blower motor....

is it detrimental to remove the evaporator? Can it be cleaned and put back or even replaced?

another trick that can help a little is to turn the fan on high make sure its on fresh air and spray lysol into the air intake (just below the windwhiled wipers) it will at least kill some of the mold. but other than removing the evaporator and blowing all the dirt and mold out of it, not much you can do.

To All,

Thanks for the tips.

TouringAccord,

The Rims and tires are awesome my friend, feel much less bumps on the road! Thanks again! Although my cooling system is leaking somewhere again I know because the coolant smell is there after a short to long drive and when I power down the engine, I can here drip, drip, drip, drip at about a drip per second landing on some metal. I was thinking of just replacing the hoses systematically at a rate of one hose every now and then until they are all replaced since, I am fairly sure it is the hoses. All of the hoses safe for one the main one is oem and the car has 140k on it. The radiator is only like 4 months old and is OEM.

Take it easy and thanks.

I think the only thing that sux, is that now when Im sitting in rush hour traffic which is 2x a day for about an hour and 20 mins Im sucking up exhaust into my cabin and breathing that ish!

I definitely dont like that. I mean there are less strict standards here in Detroit for Air Quality too then most places, so its routine to see a ton of smoggy *** Constuction or delivery trucks on the hwy and to be stuck behind them.

on dash you can choose if you want fresh air from the outside coming in car or ( REC ) recirculate .

yeah, I do that in the winter when I get stuck behind someone with smelly exhaust or whatever. But since I don't have A/C, my windows are down in the summer and I get stuck smelling those fumes and crap, oh well.

damn, again. Gotta find that leak so you don't get stuck like you did last weekend.

I'll IM you, got a couple things to run past you.
