everyone read quick. Anyone know if nissans have CEL self diagnosis?
I got a nissan altima (99). Car is really nice. I used it as sort of a space filler untill I figured out my next plan of attack. Well now that I know what that plan is I have found someone to buy the car. They gave me a deposit yesterday and today the service engine light came on.
Im wondering if anyone knows if Nissans have the same CEL self diagnosis thing honda's do.
I usually find everything I want on honda tech why should this be any different?

You said "SERVICE" engine... That sounds like the maint.reqd. light. Check out the owner's manual. It's probably just a mileage reminder & you can reset it yourself.
If it's the CHECK engine light... Since it's newer than 1996, it has to be OBD-2. Go to AutoXoned.
