Default The right harness???

ok guys here goes. i have searched and cannot find what i need. i got a 90 civic 4dr with a 92 sohc vtec motor in it. the guy hacked it together as far as the wiring harness goes. i mean there is speaker wire in some places and what not. the problem is he had the wires for the alternator to long and they got caught on the axle and ripped out. when that happened it ripped the plug for the alt off and it is now gone. now i am assuming he has the ecu from the 92 in there since it runs and drives good. so i am trying to figure out what harness i need to buy to fix the wiring mess. the thing is since i got the car for next to nothing i do not want to spend much on the harness unless it will be useable in my next toy. i am going to build an 92-95 ex coupe. hence the reason i grabbed this car for the engine since it was so cheap. anyway any help at all would be a huge help. thanks guys.

first off, you will not be able to use a 90 engine wiring harness in a 92-95 car - what model is the 90? - is it running OBD1 or OBD0? - you need a wiring harness for your model and year of car - if it is DX or LX, you will need to do the DPFI to MPFI wiring changes to the harness - EX will be a little simpler

well the car ix a 90 4dr dx and has a 92 ex motor in it. well do you think it would be easier to just try and rig up the one in it and make it work? i mean i really dont want to do alot of dickin with this car. since i am going to remove the engine later to put in a different car. i just wanted to run it in this car for beating on while i work on my project car. i was figuring if i could get a harness for cheap to fix this thing i could drive it and have some fun till im ready to pull the motor and built it for my project car.

well it depends on how bad of condition your harness is in... if it is really ripped up and what not you are gonna have to replace the harness with another obd0 dx harness and convert it to mpfi and what not (si harness's will NOT work)... but if you really dont want to dick around with that car then you should just let it sit there and ride a bike or walk or something...hahahaha
