Default Nitrous Itr's

i did a search and found nothing on specific itr's running nitrous

any-1 here running nitrous on there itr's? How do they like it? Is your motor still running ok? What other mods do you have? What kinda shot can a stock internal itr handle and still be reliable with a good tune and all?

I was looking into nitrous for my 99 jdm itr, for now its just bolt mods, with 255 fuel pump and hondata, made around 180whp na, but would like to make more

was also wondering what kinda power you put down with what mods and what size shot, also what 1/4 time you ran if possible.....ive read a 50 shot typically will yield 15-25% more power on a high compression motor, such as an 11:1 jdm itr. So wondering what kinda whp a 75shot on such a motor would put down if that is infact true.

post what you have, how you like it, what you dont like about it and all that good stuff

personally, i think nitrous is the most complicated one because you have to refill it. if you use it often enough, it will cost you some dollar, get something permanent.. like turbo.

i see what your saying but it would probably be used about once a week if that......more then likely id use it twice a week for the first month, then only use it when i really have to

Clarify what you mean by "really have too". I had Nitrous in one of my cars way back when. It was fun for a short time, then got kind of stupid. Though, this is simply my dumb opinion.

the retard that had my car before me used nitrous, i had to rebuild the entire lower block and have my head in the machine shop for a week, after that i learned i needed a new tranny because the moron never put oil in it after having it rebuilt. i would reccomend staying off the bottle, your car is fast enough, if you really want power try turbo/supercharge.

and i think everyone would LOVE to see pics of your 99 jdm itr.

Digital Sol says in February 2005:

"Get your head built the right way the first time and what ever intake and exhaust you want to run wont matter because it will put down at least 210whp anyways.
im going to be running the following:
98 jdm itr
2.5" greddy exhaust
3" short ram intake
jdm header
high flow cat
hondata
and a professionally fully built head including cams
my numbers will be around 220-230whp, i wont even be touching the bottom end, obviously higher after i get around to upgrading the things that would be holding back power like a better header and cat, but those are things you do after you get the main power supply down to a patent.

i dont see why people spend $1400 on a header, $300 on a intake and $800 for a "race" exhaust and bearly making 200whp when they could just get a head built the proper way for around $2 grand and make more whp with basic bolt on's.

id post results tomarrow if i could, problem is im still $800 short and after that it takes about a month to get it completed, then i gotta install it and get my car tuned, ill def be posting results even if it does flop and i make shitty power"

Type-Rare#1248 Says:
LOL, I told you that you would whimper away...where is your 230 whp with just bolt-on and head work?? It's now end of May ...need nitrous now?

yea, i dont feel like investing another $2000 into my car, resell value is already bad enough, was just thinking of spraying a bit before i sell it to move onto something better, ********

and 220whp is capable na with the right parts machine work on a stock bottom

theres a difference between a high performance full race shop and your local rice shop, dick head

sense then **** has changed, ive landed a good job and can afford to sell my car and move onto something better, awd and alot more power in stock form, i wont be spraying it, was just looking for info on the topic, plan on selling it soon and starting off on a diff platform

Hey "dick head" (what a primitive form of dissing by an uneducated person), you came up with a lot of excuses as to why you didn't get 220whp with just head work, but I must remind you that you sounded REALLY **** SURE that you were going to get your head done by a "HIGH PERFORMANCE FULL RACE SHOP" to prove us all wrong, but in the end, you didn't get the job done. THAT'S THE END OF THE STORY. WE DON'T NEED TO KNOW WHY YOU NO LONGER NEED THE WORK DONE. WE NO YOU DIDN'T BACK UP YOUR CLAIM.

if u put down all that money just to get a jdm rhd itr, u should have at least had the brains to know that u shoudnt take shortcuts in tuning.

that is... if you really do have a 99 jdm itr
