this guy has a turbo for sale from his 86 volvo for 50 bucks. im planning on putting a custom turbo kit together, now where hondatech and help comes in. will this turbo work with my b18b motor? will there any custom work be needed? thanks a lot people

sure itll work. its probably a t3 of some sort. and custom work? if you are putting together a turbo kit, itll be ALL custom work.

my friend was going to put together a kit using a turbo from a Volvo for me. but i decided to stick to N/A.. but yeah those Volvo turbos have internal waste gate. lotta people dont like that. so you might want to take that into consideration. my friend told me that you can block off the internal wastegate and use an external one. so i dont know, just thought i'd toss it out there..

I dont see why its funny cause if someone wants a small turbo set up, the T3 turbo from these Volvos seems fine to me. just make sure everything is in proper working order. might want to rebuild it before you put it in. cause the turbo is almost 20 years old.

be sure that the volvo turbo (might be a KKK brand) has good oil selas. its pretty easy to block off the internal wastegate. just disconnect the rod in most cases.
