Default Got intake and exhaust...

I love it...sounds smooth...can't really notice the intake power much, but i'm sure its there. Ended up getting Greddy exhaust for just over $550, and AEM intake for $250...

least to say, I am done spending for a while...its gonna have to do for now...might get some indiglo gauges off of ebay if i can scrounge up 50 bucks somewhere

QUESTION: What would probably be the next step? New headers?

BTW- Are there any guys in here that like domestics too? Namely Mustangs? I just ran my 5oh and got my best time

Nice choices on the i and e. Alot of people on here like domestic power, you might want to post your times in the kills forum. A header and VAFC would be the next logical step in upgrades, if you're going NA.

You could have made your own CAI out of exhaust piping for less than $40 and gotten a universal muffler and had some pipe bent for it for a total of $400 tops. $800 for an intake and exhaust is nuts.

Not everyone realizes that when they are new to the sport.. Just wait on the header.. There isn't really a GREAT one out there, for preludes yet, but stayed tuned for a couple months, one will be in development!

I didn't really know that you could make your own...well, i spend a poo pooload of money now...too late

and i did just realize when i looked on ebay for indiglo gauges...THATS totaly rice. It had all the little gay blue led winshield washer lights and foot pedals and poo poo like that....nevermind the indiglo!!!

I love both DOMESTIC and IMPORT muscle...each is fun in its own way. I just wish i would have known about the cheap intake, i would have saved the other money and hooked up the LX with some nitrous. But, thats a whole nother story.

Im gonna start researchin the DC headers...any other good brands you guys know of??? thanks

What's ricey about accessories. If you think they look good, get em. I mean indiglos look great at night, and the white face looks sporty during the day, I don't see what the problem is. I think it's just that when people see ONE modification on their car, say a chrome tip on the tail pipe or something to that extent, they automatically think "hmm, he must want to race me" or "hmm, he probably has something under the hood." Some people just go for looks and indiglos are a nice add-on to the interior, if you are into that kinda look. I just don't get why ANY cosmetic modification is automatically ricey.....I know people who think body kits are ricey---maybe they want to look good, who cares?? I say get the indiglos, I got them and they are bad ***!

I have a DC header as well, did it make a big difference, not really.. It has the same size prelims as a D15 header that they make.. Mugen is the only thing that will get decent power out, until this SMSP header come out..

Did you fail 3rd grade English? Contrary to your vast wealth of automotive knowledge a "custom" straight through exhaust (with an Apexi N1 muffler for example) will flow much better than a Mugen exhaust. You see the more bends that there are in a pipe the more restrictive that it is. Most aftermarket exhausts follow the stock exhaust route, so if you are able to route piping to the back, or even side of the car with less bends, you will get better flow.

w0rd. There are many exhausts that flow better than Mugen. An N1 will s*** all over a Mugen catback in terms of power. It is a very good "product", but by no means the end all be all of exhausts as far as raw performance is concerned.
