Default ST sway bars

also, since I haven't actually found a done deal on the itr rear sway yet, I came across somebody selling a set of ST sway bars front and rear. I might take these instead, actually I'm more inclined to do so... but I'd like to know if these will do any good for my EJ coupe. The front is 25mm and the rear I believe to be 22mm (1", .75"), so the rear is the same as the ITR rear. Anyway, I was just trying to find some opinions on this ST set before I settle with it... It's made for a 99 ex, and I have a 00 ex... so the install should be easier than the ITR install right?

thanks, but this guy is local and he can do the set for 100... even if you cut me a sweet deal shipping will eat up a great sum...

So you think the ST f&r will be better for my car than just the itr rear? That's what I really wanted to know thanks

Go for the ST set.

IMO, there are a lot of advantages the ST kit has over the ITR rear bar. For one thing, the front and rear bars are a matched set, meant to work together. Also, the way the ST rear bar mounts causes less stress on the subframe than the ITR rear bar (due to the endlink attachment point at the very end of the control arm). Although there are trustworthy kits to go along with the ITR bar that will prevent it from ripping out of the subframe, I am still a bit leary of them.

In terms of transitional stability, the ST kit is fantastic. They worked very well with my Eibach Prokits, but they work as well or better with my GC coilovers (much higher spring rates). I've had them installed for 2 years now, with no problems whatsoever. The urethane bushings are still in perfect shape and the mounting hardware is solid as ever.

i also have been very satisfied with my rear ST sway bar. in addition to comments above, it also provides better exhaust clearance because the endlinks attach at the end of the control arm.

thanks for the response guys! I just hope this deal falls through... also I'll be using these bars with ITR springs, probably on stock ex shocks at least for now... think it'll handle ok?

I got my ST bars today, it came with all the hardware. I took a casual glance under the rear of my car, and didnt see any holes for the brackets to mount to. Nor did I find the holes to attach the endlinks to. Do I have to drill the subframe and the rear lca? the front sway bar should bolt right in right? since i think my car came with a stock front sway. hmmm... I'll take a closer look this weekend...
