need flat aluminun tube for trunk brace
just like the title says i am making a trunk brace that goes from one side to the other using the bolts that screw into the floor on each side of the spare tire space. but theres a problem i cant find anything to use with it. i need a box aluminum tube like 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch by like 2 inches and about 40 inches long. anyone know where i can get this? i checked ebay and called so many places i cant count.
haha i know i work at lowes and we only have 3/4 inch box tubing and i actually bought the 3/4 inch thing i have from home depot!! uh oh hope i dont get fired haha. but i think i need 1 inch to be effective. but i REALLY want a flatter one, you know like a type r strut tower bar. i actually have one of those cuz i got sent the wrong one before, but its about 3 inches too short

Pssss, here's a little secret.
Get a lower tie bar for a EG/DC2. Take off the brackets.
The bar will line up perfectly to the holes on the trunk floor and it'll look much much cleaner than using the square tube method.
Your welcome.

Yeah, that'll do it. I made a trunk floor brace for my car, using the square tube. It's okay, but in no way does it look clean. It's just a ugly bar bolted to the floor.
However, I soon realized that the lower tie bar is the perfect length. Just pull the the stock bolts for your bumper support and install the tie bar.
I used a generic lower tie bar, like the one on ebay.
It'll work.
