is there anyway i can get a roof skin for a 4th gen prelude without a sunroof? Like is there any japan spec cars that are low class and have no sunroof?

 

For the 4th gen im pretty sure there aren't. Someone sells sunroof delete panels though, which would be pretty much the same thing.

 

Yeah thats my 2nd choise, but i dont want the fiber glass or bondow to crack :/

 

I swear I have seen a picture of a white 4th gen without a sunroof, just a flat plain roof. It is out there but I think it'll be EXTREMELY hard to find.

BTW a CF sunroof plug weighs less than 2 pounds.

 

then get a peice of sheet metal and rivet it or weld it in. Grind the welds down , go over it with some bondo to smooth everything out repaint,reclear coat. Just get the little CF delete. It shouldent crack unless you have someone land from a 3+ story building on the top of your car.

The base 4th gens, the ones with the SOHC f22 inside, are without sunroofs. Is that what you're refering to? If not, nevermind

Edit: sorry, I couldn't find a picture, his classified must've been taken down. I remember his post because he called his car a Type-S... instead of just "S"

actually, the base model with f22/sohc did have a sunroof...all USDM 4th gen prelude came with a Sunroof....i believe JDM Prelude, it might be an option or someone took theirs out cause Ive only seen one pic of a prelude with no sunroof...

 

I don't think ALL. But surely MOST did come with a sunroof. For some reason, can't remember who it was, I remember someone posting a pic with a classified ad with a white 4G WITHOUT the sunroof. I converted to a GLASS panel. I think I still have my old panel (Painted EBP). Make an offer if you want it, it's in new condition.

 

My lude has no sunroof, nor do many of the lightweight JDM BB4 Models

I doubt you could get the part in the US, but I may know where one is in the UK, shipping would probably be horrible though

all USDMs did, certain JDM's did not

It bolts into place of the sunroof. It won't crack.

Yes, all USDM models have sunroofs. While with JDM BB4's there was a no sunroof option.

The best option for us in the states is the CF replacement.
