Curious about this. I was thinking about purchasing a 99gsr w/ ITR conversion but the vehicle has a sunroof. Do ITR's have sunroof's? Thanks a bunch.

 

No, they don't.

 

No they don't and if you are a tall person be glad they don't. I feel cramped in GSR's but feel right in home in my R.

 

But you can order an R/RS roof skin from Acura and have a body shop replace it.

p.s. there is no way to make an ITR replica unless it is made fugimi or you can change the body stampings. There is more to an ITR than the engine and 5 lug...

a better job than most do, very clean, i just dont understand why people would spend so much money to do this, just seams like the money could go elsewhere in the car. just remember that people with type r's know whats real.

Wait so you replicated a Type-R so that thieves will want to steal your RS??

Not only that people that really know Type-R's can tell that your car is fake. There are some things that you just cant or wont do to try and replicate it. At that point youmight as well have bought a real R LOL

your rear lower subframe is different. I dont know if RS came with maplights but thats one way to tell also. Not only that your VIN doesn't say dc2 it says dc-4. There are countless other ways to tell. So in reality you are just fooling the poeple that dont know whats going on. It does look nice though!

You can seam weld the chassis in the appropriate locations, and buy an R rear subframe. Then it's just a matter of tracking down the rest of the R specific components. It can be done, but it'd be a hell of a lot cheaper to just buy an R.

 

'94 RS-$4500, ITR motor/tranny-$4500, ITR seats-$700, 5 lug suspension-$1000, Wing/lip-$500, Paint-$2500, ITR stickers-$100.....fake ITR-priceless

if only the vin came up right........ it would still come up as RS....... when you run an itr vin it comes up TYPE R

Yes, All real ITR's came standard with them.
