Just as the topic says, if you could put any OEM honda components together, to make any B series motor, what would you use. I searched and found nothing of this.

I would use all OEM parts.

What would you build?
just throw a type R motor in there...or...B20vtec with a type R head....

 

well i can see where b20/vtec would not work because if you were to use the "ALL OEM" build the b20z2 pistons only yield like 9.6:1 compression which is pretty low. not saying it's not enough, but it would be easier w/ more compression and there are no other STOCK 84mm pistons. except the b20b pistons which is basically Less compression than the b20z2

my friend built an ALL OEM honda parts ls/vtec using ctr pistons and ctr cams he hit low 13's on a type r head w/ factory port

i'd say ls/vtec in 1.8 liter form
