Supercharged h22? anyone got any pics?
Im toying with the idea of a charged h22 CRX, does anyone have a picture of a supercharger kit available for the h22? or failing that a picture of a kit installed on a h22, in or out of the engine bay?
Thanks
Thanks
has anyone ever done a super charged h22 in a 92-95 civic??? how is the fitment like?? is there even enought room for the charger??? and how is the clearance of the charger and the driver side shock tower?? thanks
i doubt you would be able to fit a SC on an h22 in a civic without pounding the **** out of the firewall. Most people have a hard time trying to fit the skunk2 manifold on a h22 civic, the SC looks bigger then that thing.
I know it won't fit the accord because of the firewall. i can't see it working on the civic with a h22 considering its an even tighter fit than the accord, but what do i know. it can be possible if it is custom but expect to spend alot more.

For those who have the install in a 5th gen prelude. As far as power, what are your opinions on the performance and reliablity of such a setup? Considering this as opposed to turbo.

There are a few upgrade pullies to increase boost, 9psi and 12psi, maybe a few others. Your only option for cooling is water/meth injection, no IC. IMO, cooling would be a must with anything higher than the stock 6psi.
Reliability of the SC itself is awesome, change the belts now and then and your good to go. Reliability of your engine depends on too many factors to give a universal answer to that question. Generaly speaking, bolting the kit onto a healthy H22 and good tuning SHOULD be pretty reliable. I'm over 30K miles with the kit, and have no issues.

your going to have one hell of a time trying to fit a supercharger on there and keep the car streetable. you would most likely need to have a custom shock tower or you would have to move to motor towards the drivers side so far that it would probably hit the right front tire. Ask me how i know
HOWEVER - there is TONS of room for a centrifugal type supercharger where the AC used to be if you place the motor far back. thats what i would have done if turbochargers weren't so great
Thanks
