see this is the first ive ever heard of something like this. Check it out:


MY friend has an 89 crx si. lol hes on here is name is like b-rad dimes or something or prelude dimes. its something to do with dimes but anyways his crx was really nice when he go it. Full body kit, nice paint, cd player, nice pioner speakers (new blue ones ). and everything has basically went to ****. He doesnt car about the car due to his prelude and his prelude is the onlything that matters to him and one day we decided well hey we are going to go through a farmers field lol and we were rollin along, we wen into the field got bout 20 ft into the field and had the car stuck on a bump all four wheels were off the ground. the front bumper is like plastic and it was hangin on. well a couple weeks later hes driving along and runs the front bumper over lmfao! and thats messed up. And then next his exhaust from the downpipe back fell off and his cat was hanging on the ground and he chewed that all up so now hes driving it with open header. Then he locks his keys in the car and tears the seals on the back window off and climbs through there and gets in and now he has a duck taped rear driver side window. Then he hit something and knocked the passenger side mirror off. And then We goes muddin in it and tears the side skit off and has that holding on with duct tape. Then his car started to sputter really bad and he replaced the distributor. It ran great for a day and now the rev limiter kicks in at 3000 rpms. LMFAO! its hilarious he takes it to 3000 rpms and it wont go any faster in that gear it just has the rev limiter and sounds like a machine gun. We have no idea what this is. I told him to get a new ecu. Would that help? and what is the problem

yeah he is an idiot hes saying bout how his prelude is going to be soo fast but see i wouldve taken care of the crx more because a crx has good potential to be a fast and nice looking car plus they are loud as ****. but see he just liked to do dumb **** in it and he doesnt take car of it. im bout to buy it off him once he gets the motor back in his prelude and replace the front bumper and side skirts, motor and show him how nice that thing is if u just take care of it.

 

really dumb to ruin a nice crx... but whatever..

as for the problem did the ecu take a beating or get wet in anyway?

when i got my motor swap the ecu had a dent on the bottom of the ecu and a circuit was either broke or shorting out. try another ecu...

or try another ignitor on the distributor, if that got wet it could have shorted out as well causing the same problem

yea he is a retard its the save his crx foundation. i feel bad for him. he always tried to pick up girls n **** by showing them his prelude and its not running. Then they see his crx and laugh. too bad pimp my ride isnt on the east coast. He would definatley get it. But nevermind bout the donations he would probably spend it on his lude. And i dont think anything happened to the ecu. and the distributor might have gotten fucked up or something but see when it was put in it was fine. No sputtering no rev limiter ( he can max out the rpm gauge ) and everything was running fine. I just have no clue what it is. Im just guessing bad ecu.

 

where did you get the distributor? alot of times rebuilt ones from autozone or any parts chains can go bad soon after you install them
