Default Smoke in tranny?

If i twist the key and try to turn the car on and it clicks, but it doesn't wanna start and you can see smoke coming up from right where the tranny is? what's the problem? It started before, but now it's not? I checked my grounds and they were HOT. ....

all my money goes into my car too, not by choice mostly though, unfortunately. By the way, the thread title is hilarious.

The starter probably died because it takes a while to start. starters are not designed to crank for more than a couple of seconds at a time, more than that and they eventually overheat and burn out.

Taking a while to start is a different problem that caused the starter failure. Get that taken care of before another starter goes out on you.

lol i had a friend that had a Battlebot that used starter motors for drive motors. thing took 6 car batterys to run and he could never figure out why his "ultra high tourque" motors kept "failing in the test runs"
