Default Introducing the PasswordJDM carbon fiber airbag block off tray for EG/EK/DC2

The Password CF Airbag Trays have been described as a work of art! Everybody we showed this off to, had only nice things to say about it. To us, it’s just another product that we should have made available a long, long time ago. Our CF Airbag Trays are a direct drop in replacement for the passenger side Airbag. It’s perfect for those who choose to have the airbag removed for safety reasons such as road course or drag racing.

Crafted from Aerospace grade, 2x2 twill Carbon Fiber and 100% high solid epoxy resin, our bags trays are designed to fit the LHD vehicles without any modification to your stock dash. What this means is that you can retain your Factory Airbag and reinstall it later if you need to. The Password CF Airbag Trays are truly plug n’ play. Installation of the CF Airbag Trays takes less than 20mins and requires only the basic tools that every import enthusiast should have at his disposal. A quality fit and finish is guaranteed.

The Password CF tray is a nice finishing touch to any vehicle that’s show/race worthy. These are high quality pieces crafted here in the States. Like all of Password’s products, these are produced one at a time. The exceptionally consistent quality you would expect from us is delivered each and every single time.

$160, you have to be kidding me, when you can get a whole CF hood for $350!

Please explain the high price, the materials at most cost $30 for each one, I know you are a buisness but still!

Hard to find a $350 Carbon Fiber Hood that has a decent fit/finish. These guys also had to devolop this product from scratch, rather than just make a mold and copy of an already existing part such as a hood/fender/trunk etc.

You get what you pay for.

Sounds like a bit too much for me.
For that much you can practically make one yourself.

Funny thing though is i would get one if they had it for the 94-97 Accord.

not sure what you mean when you say that they wont work on LHD vehicles?? The Canadian Airbag tray for the Integra only works on LHD. And i imagine same goes for the ek civic tray. The original airbag trays are not JDM, some1 correct me if im wrong.

bump for a nice looking CF tray, just a tad bit much for my budget, ill stick to the plastic until price drops

ok, if you can make them for 20 bucks each, then i'll take 100 of them right now from you, i have cash in hand!!

seriously, this is not exactly that cheap to make, you guys make it sound like we are making 1000000% profit on this or something.... and plus on top of all that we had to put quite a bit of work in to fab up the EG piece also!! you dont think that cost time or money?? on top of all that we haven't even started talking about the increase CF material prices either....

guys, please refrain from further posts about pricing on this thread.

Mounting requires the use of some sort of bonding agent such as double sided tape along the edges or a silicon adhesive.

jesus man. If U don't like it don't get it. I mean damn how much can double sided tape be or adhesive cost. Like the person that said before. U get what U pay for. And if anyone wants to go thru a process of buying a block off tray, some quality cf weave, then do the process of wraping the tray, vacum sealing and then doing the clear coat. **** go ahead. It's not like your buying ebay quality items or gettin vis stuff. This is quality item .

What next are U going to look for rims and say there's no tires with it!! Oh man WTH I just bought a turbo kit and it doesn't have an oil pan with a line attached to it. Or man this steering wheel doesn't come with a hub. **** this deck doesn't come with 6 disk cd changer and a mounting kit. **** this pulley don't come with a belt.

Damn man it's just freakin doublesided tape or adhesive. Man tell U what if U buy a tray I'll buy u the damn double sided tape or adhesive if U stop your whining

lol, it's our right to question price.. thats america for you. I see 2x2 carbo fiber thats sold in bulk at around 20 a yard, as far as making the mold.. that could take all of an afternoon to get perfect. We need to question price, we need to question how things are being made, or companys will just go nuts with silly stuff.. like $250 strut bars that cost nothing more than $11 in metals.

..and the everyday average joe has all the facilities to make the vacuum mold and oven needed for this operation as well, right?

Dude, if you can produce the same thing for $30 without it looking like a ashtray hit by a kenworth I will buy 20 of them.

To be honest these utilities are quite common, thats why we are questioning the price. Its not like passwordjdm is some elite company with the only oven in America. They are in most major cities. If however the price was around $75 it would be alot more justified, but surely you can't argue that it costs that much to make to charge $159.99
