built b16 on a DC2 Integra
You guys think its a good idea putting a built B16 engine for boost on a DC2 Integra would it make the car slower is their a lot of guys doing this swap on a DC2 chassis.
B16 is a good motor but Integras were built for the 1.8 liter engines. B16 are good but Ls/Vtec/ or GSR Turbo WAY BETTER.
Edit:For dumbass below me just because it says noob doesnt mean I am one. I am a noob on this forum. DUMBASS

There are alot of options for our cars, I wouldnt consider the B16 as my first choice but it isnt a bad motor. The reason why people look down on the B16 in Integras is because it's a 1.6L engine with less torque compared to even a 1.8L B18b (rs/ls) engine.
Now, if the B16 is built,as you stated, and it's boosted, well then you have a very potent motor.
However, if boosting your thing, you can save the money you would spend on a built B16 and build up your LS for boost. In fact, a B18b is more turbo friendly due to it's lower compression and lack of vtec.
But to answer your question, no, not too many people are running straight B16's in their Integra's. People tend to go for B18c's or ls/vtec. But like I said, you can go with a b16 if you want and there will be quite a few people that would recommend it.
So just do your homework, think about what your goals are with the car, and research, research, research.
