I took my 1994 accord to have the code read, Because the d4 light is blinking and speed omitor not working,,,, The macanic was full of crap..
He went on telling me bad of shape the car was in then asked if he could buy it..

Any way,,

After weeding out all of his crap
I came down to maybe having a bad transmission RANGE SENSOR.
and Speed sensor.. I have replaced the speed sensor but .. what the CRap is a Range sensor.. and is it impertant? will it make the d4 light blink??

Any info will be great ly help full
Thanks Ron

The range switch is what tells the car transmission control unit what drive position the car is in, ie park, revers, nutral, so on. It will be the biggest switch on the transmission. It should be located on the lower pass. side of the tranny housing.

The transmission range switch on a 94 Accord is part of the shifter mechanism,
not on the transmission, and if it is bad, the whole shifter mechanism will need to be replaced. Honda does not sell individual parts for it.

The shift position switch? Since when did they quit selling it by itself?
