Default Bilstein Sports with Stock Springs??

(I originally posted in the civic forum but I think it is better suited over here.)

I won a set of Bilstein Sport Shocks on Ebay and am waiting for them to arrive. As far as I can tell from my research the sports are shortened slightly compared to stock or Bilstein HDs. I would like to run them with my stock springs until I can afford to do springs properly.

How will this work out?
Will my ride height be affected?
Will the shocks be overdamped for the stock springs?
Should I just hang onto the shocks for the summer until I can get some springs too?

Thanks

your car won't be lowered, as for slightly shortened, I'm not sure, though it seems like it should be fine, maybe you shuld call Bilstein. Alot of SCCA solo2 stock class cars run aftermarket shocks with stock springs.

Thanks for the response. I am concerned mostly about the shafts being to short to handle the longer stock springs.

See this discussion, it is for VW's though: http://www.gti-vr6.net/library....html
