Default Cold air intake for turbo inlet

I made a CAI for my car. Filter is in the fender well. Before it was wedged right in between the mani and rad, freaking hot.

I routed the PCV and valve cover breather to a slash cut bung on the CAI. I don't smell blow-by fumes under boost anymore. It also sounds pretty good. The turbo spooling is alot louder now.

A little vid. I like the way it sounds.

How much work was it? I would like to do something like this some time...

It would be nice to not smell after driving my car.

I like the wagon too!

any downfalls... pros/cons with spool up when running a longer intake inlet?

I hope your motor doesnt twist too much or it will break that pipe right off.

I have to admit, I stole the idea from Dturbocivic.

I wanted to make an intake mostly to have a place to run the PCV to a constant vacuum.

The POS is fun <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by EJ1 wilcox &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

Thanks for your concern Somehow I think the rubber home depot coupler will stretch or tear before the steel pipe will bend. Been beating it hard for a month, no issues.

i have wanted to do this but i dont have any inner fenderwell liner and was worried about water, and even worse..............

when i go to the track and do a burnout, im sure my engine will re ingest some of that smokey air, and im sure it isnt good for my motor, so i guess i should get an fender liner!
