New Coupe 4 cylinder VERSE the V-6??
Cheaper and better gas milage than the V-6, but the V-6 is the Honda engine right? I mean it is there trademark right??
I am going to get an Accord Coupe in the next couple of months and I am stuck on the engine since I have heard that the timing belt is a joke on the V-6 and something about wires in the V-6 engine as well.
I just need some advice on which engine should I get and would apprecaite any replies, thank you.

You can get a 6 speed with the V6 and you will be under warranty so I wouldn't sweat the mechanical issues too much. I've heard nothing but good things about their new 6 and I think it still gets around 25mpg or so.

Yea the new 6 is pretty nice...but for the price difference you *MIGHT* be able to get a nice K20A swap, or do some work on the K24 to make it significantly faster. Just food for thought.
V6 6-speed coupe, the only way to go! I just traded the wifes ody last week for one with navi, and I absolutely love it (the van was a lemon and it had to go, plus I somehow inherted it as my daily driver after she started working 40+ miles away).
Anyways, i had a 5 speed 01 EX accord 4cyl, and the power was adaquate to good, but I alway said I wanted a V6 2 door stick , and now I'm there!
I'm getting 29 mpg on the highway with the a/c on, and 22 around town, so to me thats great after averaging between 17-19 with the van.

Listen to these guys. I got a 2004 EX-L 4cyl. coupe 5 spd and the one thing I regret is not getting the 6 spd V-6. I mean I'm completely content with my 4 cyl coupe, but after I drove a 6 spd v-6, i was just so amazed on how much more powerful it felt compared to mine, and the engine is solid as hell. so if you can afford it, just get the 6spd v-6, you wont regret it.

Honestly it depends on what you want out of it.
For a nice all motor or FI setup the k24 is ****! NTM it should get better gas mileage than the v6.
the v6 6spd manual is nice as well, really good times and numbers but you are kind of limited with aftermarket performance; I don't even know if they make a supercharger kit for it or not.
IMO a k24 with a k20 head, ITB's, header and a couple other goodies would put you easily past 230whp and 200wtq.
