Coming July 1st!
Around july 1st to the 4th of July weekend i will be purchasing on payments a new 05 cbr f4i!! I have sat on this bike and love it. I love the color and the way it looks. I have heard great things from people who own this bike and dont mind paying 70 bux a month to own it!
Only thing i dont like is the banana seat, but with me on it, you wont even know that its connnected!
This will be my first bike, and yes i know, i might crash it, total it or just lay it down....But i dont want an older bike. I was looking at a couple around my area and the people are shady, repainting bikes to cover scrathes, damage to the motor but they try to hide it....I am going to get a bike that has never been driven. A bike that i can asure has no problems! I am 6'0 and 250, so im a big guy, i understand the power of a bike, and will be taking the msf course in june and purchasing a helmet, gloves and jacket before i even take it out of my garage! I do have a couple questions...One, they do have frame sliders or plastic fairings for this bike right? And 2, since im a big dude, and prolly will be riding 2 up after a couple of months (with GF) should i adjust the suspension so my seat doesnt hit the tire...or will the suspension bottom out before the seat ever hits the tire!
Thanks a lot guys, cant wait!!

1. Yup. Almost anything and everything you'll need or want is available for the F4i.
2. You'll want to up the preload on the rear shock, especially when riding 2up. You might also want to look into upgrading the front fork springs, since they're usually setup for people who weigh 160 and are 5'5"-ish. Anyone but us big people.

^^Do you think before i pick up the bike in my dads truck, i can have them up the preload on the rear shock? What setting should i ask them to set it for if they can do it? And, isnt uping the preload basically stiffening the suspension, and is a worse ride? Any comments are greatly appreciated.
Awesome to hear bro, im in the same process, got my license and everything just no bike
Prices for used bikes are insanely high, and my buddy whos been riding for over 5 years told me to just buy a new bike, but i aint shure. I got the cash for a used bike, but dont wanna fork out 5k for a 1998+ bike that who knows what its been threw. He said u have to have control over your self. He bought his new and never, yes i said it never laid it down while riding, he just takes it easy. Only time its fell is when he had in on stands, twice
Be safe, and good luck, but one question, Why not the 600rr
thats on my list, especially with the tribal flames

The reason i want the f4i over the rr is a couple varying factors. One, the seat is harder than a peice of wood...correction- corbin seat. Two, the suspension is stiff and i want the f4i for the softer more forgiving suspension, i dont wanna fell every pebble on the road. Three, the handle bars are farther down, due to the racing look/use of the bike. The f4i has the handle bars a little higher, better for just cruising around. I just like the f4i better for a good beginner bike, i love the rr too, but i think for now especially getting a 600 to start and an 05, i have a better chance to keep the shinny side up on the f4i..PLUS the f4i IS the best all around bike.

Well, it depends on how i feel if i want her on my bike. She will have helmet, jacket, gloves, and stuff like that. If i dont feel comfortable, then i wont put her on there. Im ready to get a bike though, ive been waiting a while, itll be fun, ill take my time with it though.
