Default Difference in forks ??

I have a 2002 gsxr .. I noticed they come with two different style forks. One type of fork compresses from the top and the other compresses from the bottom.

I was wondering if anyone knows the difference bettween the forks?

The first picture shows upside down forks. They have higher rigidity than the non-USD forks.

You'll probably need the triple tree that belongs to each set if you plan on swapping - check the fork diameter to make sure.

the difference in any inverted fork from the conventioal fork is the structural regidity... there is less deflection as there is less of the inner tube exposed. As to what is the specific differneces between those two forks I could not tell you.
