Default Dropzone...first hand experience only!

I know this has been asked many many times before, but are Dropzone shocks/struts decent? I only want people that had them on their cars to answer this. Thanks guys

If you like bouncing, poor handing and your car looking slammed to show off for the RBs on the block, go for it. I'm happier with stock suspension with a coil cut off than I was with the dropzone coilovers that came on the car, if that says anything to you.

Yes, but I found in quite a few cases that the people using them said they aren't bad at all.

so what are you looking to find.. that they're **** or that they're good.

to be honest, they'll work but only do a half-assed job. you're gonna think you wasted your money and you're gonna want a good set of shocks.

I remember i friend and i were all hyped up on his Dropzone coilovers from ebay. He gave it a month and threw them away for some GC's. It gave him the look for his dc but thats about it.

Well, if you like your ride bouncy bouncy, give it a go! I hated mine, I felt in danger on the freeway with ups and downs.

I have used dropzone coilover and their shocks, and all I can say is that their shocks are good stock oem replacement; not good for coilover and lowering spring setup. The shock dampeing comes on and off, sometimes its smooth and sometimes my car feels like a hunk of junk. As far as their coilover goes, they have the same feeling and are bouncy as skunk2's older version with the aluminum top hat, not the one with eibach springs. The best coilover that I experienced with are ground control, they are smooth and does not bounce even with stock struts.

Mine werent too bad, i got them with the car, but within a year of fitment they were leaking. Pretty crappy really as springs dislocated so much when you jacked them up.

yea like me id just save the cash and get some full coil overs nicer and easyier install. If you think about it the coilovers are gunna be in the 100 to 130 range and a decent name brand shock set at lest around 400 hundred, thats about mid 500 dollar range why not save another couple weeks and by some full coilovers with shock and coil and strut mount for another 150 or so, and that way you dont have to disassemble stubborn stock rust'd *** shock nuts and compress springs, instead in and out easy as sheit!!!
