ls motor swap

Default ls motor swap

ok i found a ls motor a i want to know if the motor will fit the stock motor mounts and if the transmision will fit the b18. if it doesn't what transmision will fit the motor for best performance.

the motor will fit but u will need to used a b series transmission.

Your question isnt very specific. What chassis are you putting the b18b into? Assuming you have a ultra rare Skyline Civic (assumption made from your s.n.), you will need a motor mount kit to correctly position the engine.

You can use a tranny from just about any B series however there will be advantages in using certain types of transmissions. Some have longer gears while some have a shorter gear ratio. It depends on what kind of driving you have in mind.

Of course, I *could* tell you the benefits of each tranny but Im not. That would take the fun away from searching. So do your homework.

P.S. Your in the wrong forum. Motor swaps have very little to do with welding.
