Hey, i'm lookin to get me a gsr here in a month or two. Its goin into a 88 crx si. I dont really feel like buying the hasport conversion for the trany so i was wondering what cable tranny will go well with the gsr. Who has used what and what is recomended. Oh and does anyone know if HMO will trade the gsr tranny out for one of my choice. Fee or no Fe? Thanks

 

Not sure if HMO will trade out the tranny but any of the short geared cable trannies will work well. >> YS1, S1, J1

thems about it. if you stay NA stick to the tight gearing, if you plan on boosting go to a longer geared tranny

 

Well i'm goin NA with this as far as i can go and i'm thinkin about boostin when its fully built but this is my first motor that i'm buildin. I'm just getin started into it this year so i'm still learning every day. So yeah i'm a newb here so any and all info is good. Thanks.

 

HMO said they didnt have a extra tranny's laying around that they can do that with. Where is a good place to pic up a YS1 Tranny ?
