Is twisting of the seatbelt (one or two twist where you click it in) allowed to keep the belt tight? I do this at local autocrosses and it helps me a lot since my paper flat seats suck.

as long as your seatbelt is in good visual condition and you're wearing it i don't care what you do.
if you do this often i'd be concerned about premature wear. it's not really necessary to do this but if it makes you happy. by all means

For autocross, the twisty method is pretty decent. Gives your top-half some mobility.
I won one of these at a NASA event (thanks Frisby Race Tire) and it works better than the twist method.

I'd say you'd be better off using the inertia lock method, to lean the seat back, snap the shoulder belt to lock it, then sit forward. But whatever floats your boat.
