Vortech Supercharged b16 ef possible?
Hey! Did a search, got nada...Here's the Q:
Got a '91 civic dx w/b16...Can I fit a vortech s/c (99-00 SI) in there without any crazy modifications? If there is any custom fab. what specifically, and how difficult/expensive will it be?
Of course I'm willing to hear any input/suggestions, or better yet has anyone done or even seen this?
Thanks for your time.

hmm..I want to hear the answer to this one too...I am guessing you should be able to fit a supercharger/turbo charger on there, although that one specificaly, I don't know...though I want to get a DRAG turbocharger once I get my engine put on there....
The jackson is a POSSIBLE consideration, the biggest downside being a MAJOR lack of upgradability.
But if anyone has any info on either SC set up, I'm interested...especially if you've upped the boost. Being able to reasonably upgrade is an important requirement.
BTW This is a daily-driver...don't really care about running at the track, slicks, etc...But I want it as fast as possible on the street, full interior, to the limit of the street tires with the ease of maintenance/reliability of a SC...
Blown90Hatch...From what I gathered in my supercharger forum search you previously had a SC in your EF. Is that with a B16 swap? if so...What's the scoop? Manufacturer? PSI? 1/4? Daily driven? Dyno?
Sorry to ask so many questions of you particularly, but I'd love to hear from someone that actually has experience with it.
Thanks a lot!

Thats on my list of things to try eventually. From looking at it, i think the only major obstacle is getting the power steering pump to fit with the bracket assembly that the kit uses. Also, a slimline radiator fan is a must. Battery is obviously going to have to go to the trunk, and i think the non-ic kit is the way to go due to lack of room for that air to h20 cooler. I think the GSR kit will fit better than the Si kit will because it places the charger about an inch closer to the distributor (to clear the abs module on the gsr). So once i get some more money way later on ill post again whether it worked or not
