Default H22A Type S... Is it the way to go??

Hi guys am looking at an all motor conversion for my EG civic.

have been tossing up between the B18C5 and te H22A from the JDM type S..

Now i know there is allot more involved in the conversion for the H22A than the B18C but will it be worth it...

I am looking for 12's with standard internals and no head work on the H22a as there is not many people in Oz that I believe can correctly port a Honda head, if I went B18c then I would have to find someone in oz or send overseas for head work which I would shy away from. Hense why I am leaning towards the H22A, I hear the internals are tuff in the Type S and was hoping to get away with decent HP with Just some descent Cams, Header, fuel system and Intake...

Is it worth going the Type S route or will the money spend be better served with the tried and tested B18c5???

h22a type s gearing is so bad , only hitting 3rd gear down the 1/4mile.

b18c5 is a better option.

Struggling to hit 12's in an eg with an H22 and a type-S at that

An h22 EG hatch could pull 12's on slicks pretty easily, especially with cams and a good header.

Not to mention the swap costs half as much. I'm talking about a normal h22 not the type s. I wouldn't bother with the type s, just get a obd1 h22a with the lsd tranny and you'll be set.

If you plan to drive this car on the street at all you will apreciate the extra torque the h22 offers.
