can i put a new disk in a used CM clutch hub?

Default can i put a new disk in a used CM clutch hub?

i have a six puck clutch masters clutch and the disk has seen its last days. can i replace it with a new street disc from a different manufacturer other than CM or should i buy a whole new clutch? is the hub reusabke with a new CM disk or not? thanks alot

Honestly, it is a gamble any time you mix and match parts for a clutch kit. Our kits are balanced kits which means that every single kit is tested and matched with its own disc, this ensures proper engagement and disengagement. If you do not want to purchase a new kit I suggest that you send us your old kit to be remanufactured where we exchange out all the worn parts and replace with new. If you have any questions about that option you can give us a call at (909)877-6800. Thanks

It all depends, just new disc linings to a full rebuild and resurfacing.. We would need the unit sent in so we could give you an estimate.

A full rebuild....It's a clutchmasters stage 5 (6puck)

Again, tough to say without seeing the clutch, but basically you would be looking at around $250.

thanks alot im going to go with a new clutch, i have on more question though, would i feel more pedal travel and effort than a 6 puck clutch with a full disc street clutch?

A puck disc clutch will have a little more pedal effort than the street style clutch, both should have about the same amount of travel.
