Default 95 teg WONT START! electrical.. please help!!

today i was driving my 95 teg with 150k miles. its been driving fine, no codes or anything. i was goin like 45mph then rpm's just drop and the car just shuts off so i pull over. try to start it and it cranks but doesnt turn over. at first i thought it was something with fuel, but i can hear the buzz from the fuel pump when i put it on the on position. then i tow the car back to my house and all my windows roll up and my sunroof works but my passenger window dosnt work. then i thought maybe its my alarm, like the kill switch is on or something so i push to turn on and off and now my alarm doesnt make any noise when u push it. so i dont knoe wat the deal is. can anyone help me out.. maybe someone out there has had similar problems before... sumone help me out.. commuting to school and now im fuked

UPDATE: car turned over but only for like 30 seconds and turns back off.. only turns over when motor is cold.... any ideas anyone.. my friend says it might be the ignition module

has your timing belt ever been changed?
check to see if the cams are moving when you try to chank it.

if the car just shut off and all the power stuff still turns on. it might be that your timing belt snapped. happened to me about 2 months ago. all the power still worked and i could hear the fuel pump come on, but the engine never would turn over.
i would consider taking it to a shop if you can.

ummmm, no.. pull your plug out of the block, with plug in your hand, attatch plug wire back to plug wheile out of the block, hold the threaded part of the plug to a metal contact part of the block to serve as a ground, and have some one crank the motor..

DUDE. The ignitor is probably your problem... your friend is probably talking about the ignitor when he says "ignition module".

are u sure.. cuz he said hes had this problem before and its the same symptoms. like it would start when cold, then when it would warm up the car would just die. the ignition module is like a lil amp thing. i dont even know where its located on a 95 teg though.

have you even tried to test anything since you started this thread??

go test the ignitor and come back.. switch one out with a buddy and then post results...

we cant just tell you exactly whats wrong with your car.. your gunna have to do some trial and error/troubleshooting.

i go to school like an hour from all my friends. i cant just tell them to drive down here cuz they have work and stuff too and i dont have tools here at school, tools are at home and i have class still so i cant go home till this weekend, and im tryin to fix it so that i can get home this weekend. today.. my homie is commin down and he has an extra dizzy, if i switch it and it works, imma just buy it off him so that way i wont have to worry about the coil goin out on me too, since in other threads, the coil is known to go out after the ignition module goes out. lets hope this **** works.. ill keep u updated.

My car was doing the same thing. It could be your Ignition Coil. I changed my ICM and it didnt do anything. It turned out to be the Ignition coil. You can get one on NOPI.COM for like 40 bucks compared to the 190 bucks the garage slapped me with.

try replacing the coil first before you go out and buy a whole new distributor.

problem solved... not exactly sure what was wrong, either the ignition coil, or the ignition module, all i did was put on a distributor that my homie gave me and it worked perfect.
