My dad hit a Rock
Well my dad hit a rock! he got an estimate from a Mazda dealership they want 1000 dollars to repair it. He wants to order the new panel and put it on himself. My first question is, do you think bondo could be used on this, We work for a company that has a very good paint department that could paint it and make it look like new, But is that too much bondo? Question number 2 do you know where he can order that panel so he can put it on himself?

best idea in the thread,
pop it out, lip it, and touch up the stuff you can still see with paint from http://www.paintscratch.com

That cant be fixed with anything cuz its cracked. And no u cant use bondo on a bumper. Buy an oem one and paint it your self or take it to another body shop.

Go to a reputable body shop and ask for an estimate on getting a new bumper +paint. It shouldn't cost more than 400-500 bucks. I say... at the most, 200 for a new bumper...100 bucks for paint? *shrug* Maybe I'm just lucky to know the right people...
Cheapest way to make it less of an eyesore is to pop it back out and touch up the scratches...

yeah why would you want to take your car to the dealership for bodywork!?
they're just gonna outsource it to abodyshop anyways and markup the price.
for bodywork go to a bodyshop
new bumper shouldnt be more than 300(realistically you should be able to get a used
one for 100 or less), maybe 2-300 for paint
