Has anyone ever had just liability on their type R and had it get stolen?
you can also get liability with comprehesive (theft). collision is what makes the premium go up considerably. uninsured motorists is a good idea in case some ***-hat without insurance hits you and forces you to collect via legal battles. uninsured motorists, the insurance company will go after the other person while still paying for your damages.

An individual who works in my town had his '98 ITR stolen, and had no theft coverage on it. As far as I know, it was never even recovered. He has since purchased a '00, and I would assume he's learned his lesson and fully insures it.

I've had an Si that I insured liability, never got stolen from me.
Just got to know what to do, when around certain areas, BTW, it's the only way to avoid excessive insurance fees.

I was only referencing to type r's because they were a limited production, and if one could be restored with a clean title then..

why the hell would u own an R and NOT get comprehensive? that is as dumb as owning a jewelry store and leaving ur doors wide open at night with the gold and diamonds sitting on the floor and NOT getting insurance.
I agree. Given the ITR theft rates, you'd think people would be willing to pay a little more for financial protection. Is losing $15-20K worth NOT paying an extra couple hundred bucks a year?
all I gotta say is I'm glad I had full coverage...my insurance raped the thief (thanks Boomie) for over $15000...I requested that my ITR be put back together piece by piece bolt by bolt BY HONDA no matter how much it cost
