Car won't start ... not a starter issue
battery is charged , car will start if you bridge the starter with a screwdriver, and will run fine. car is getting fuel, starter sounds strong.. cranks instantly when bridged. i was told it was the main relay possibly, but when i turn the key to the "on" position the relay clicks.. could it be the clutch safety switch at the top of the clutch pedal? i know this has to be electrical either a switch or relay , but where to start? any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.. oh yeah it's a 92 si hatchback. cbp owns.

I'm guessing you get nothing at the starter signal wire? Could be clutch interlock switch, or (I think?) there's a relay in the clutch interlock circuit? Might be a bad ignition switch.
Got a multi-meter & circuit drawings? Check from the ignition switch (starter circuit) on downstream until you lose the signal.

no unfortunately i don't have a multimeter.. i could snag one from work for a day. is the clutch interlock switch at the top of the clutch pedal? or another location? i have a 95 coupe i can swap out the switches or relays for troubleshooting so i don't have to spend unnecessary cash to find out what the problem is. it's been raining and the wife has the coupe at work so i'll have to wait until tomorrow to mess with it.. thanks
yeah i've had to replace the easy one before. it's the one the brake pedal. which also controls your brake lights . it's easier just to pull the driver seat out and lay down to get in there. well, makes it more comfortable anyways. i'll give the switch a try tomorrow, hopefully it won't be raining. thanks again.
Remember there's 2 of them on the clutch pedal, so you didn't actually replace the easy one I was talking about. The clutch/cruise switch doubles as the stop button for the clutch pedal when you're not pressing down the pedal.
You want the one that doesn't switch until the clutch pedal is all the way down. I think that switch is located way up higher.
