how much is it worth?
I am looking to purchase a 1998 itr from a friend at work. the car was origanaly white but is now like a royal blue with a full buddy club style kit. It also has the custom hood to match. It has 18" volk racing gold wheels. DC headers and full cat back exhaust. The car is spotless inside with a custom built enclosure in the trunk done by us that holds one twelve. The body is awsome but needs repainting due to clear coat coming off front bumper and hood. The car has alot of custom work that I helped with alot of. The car has like 80-90k on it and runs good. But we have no idea of knowing what the car is worth? Not listed in kelley blue book. I know this is a valuable car but it does have alot of modifications and needs a little tweeeking and paint. How much should I pay him for this ride. Keep in mind the car is still bad as hell.

since its no where near stock...condition and has been repainted....is the firewall painted the royal blue?
As for cost I would say 11-12k...

no the engine bay is the original white, but all the jams are done correctly. I just checked the nada book value and it gave me a price of 10,850. But it did not consider the paint and mods. Im hoping he will do 8 or 9 for it. I wonder if the bank will make the loan?

Dont buy it 
Book value on a car like that isnt accurate..... if it were stock, worth $14k or so in excellent condition. As is...... buy it for $8k and use the rest to paint it correctly and remove the "custom" stereo crap.

the paint shouldn't be considered because the engine bay isn't done and the obvious, repainting costs more money for the problems that you told earlier.

Just buy another ITR. What was the point of doing this to an ITR if its not even done right? Maybe stock Rs will be worth a lot one day...
