Ok i know that the bottom number on Sportlines is the model number, but wat is the top numbers? production #, like the n-th set of springs to be made? anyone?

 

Production code. With that number we can track who we bought the material from, when they were made, which employee made them, which machine they were made on, exact specs, etc etc.

I just ran the numbers on a spring made in `88 and I was able to retrieve all the data. Pretty cool stuff.

oh god thank you :D i just bought 1 front spring and that number obviosuly doesnt match the other and i was scared outta my whits.
