ITR Spotted: Wiamea Bay, Oahu Hawaii
This is a pretty retarded thread, I know. Just bear with me for a minute. I was cruising down Kamehameha Highway today and spotted a PY ITR in the parking lot at Wiamea Bay. I swung in, no one was around and left a note on the car. I didn't notice any modifications nor did I take the time to snoop around it. I did notice that there was a military parking sticker on the windshield lower driver side corner. Car looked pretty mint. I haven't seen an ITR on Oahu since last December. I'm just wondering who it is....thanks for making my day by seeing that in the parking lot.

Yea, seeing an R here in Hawaii is rare. Not that much at all on the island. I only know of 3 others beside me. I know theres more though. And wtf is that guy doing taking an R to the beach. Salt and sand all up in that suede. haha.
I go to the track. Not that SCCA or watever you call it. I crashed my car once and ever since then I've just had a fear for turns. So I drag more.

Drag racing is boring in comparison.

i crashed my car as well and has caused more headaches than i would ever want my car to give me. however, drag is so boring, personally, that i will be returning to solo II.

I see ITRs all the time at the SuperLap and Solo II (where they belong). If there is no chance of wrecking or dying then where's the fun?
Drag racing?
Does that really count? That is more of a machine test/abuse to me.

You guys need to move to the Big Island. I've counted 7 so far. I see one almost once a week.

Hey Brandon. Long time no type. How's the car?
I haven't seen an ITR in a while, besides mine.
PY is good for spotting though, easy to pick out of a crowd.

There's more than 8 in Hawaii.
I was really never one to care about such things as the number of ITR's in Hawaii, but I personally know of more than 8 on Oahu alone.

To do the full ITR conversion, you need to track it.

So there's at least 16 in Hawaii.

I know there's some on Maui and Kauai too. So atleast 16 are on O'ahu and the Big Island, plus whatever number ITR's are on Maui and Kauai. So I'm guessing around 20 (maybe a little more) R's altogether in Hawaii.
When I get my car here next month, we should have a big formal get together. Once my car is on the boat, I'll make an official thread. I'm thinking, meet for early lunch at Zippies, cruise Waikiki then take off for the east side of the island. Take Kam highway to Northshore for some photo sessions then maybe drive back down to South shore for a track event or something. Of coarse all cars are welcome.
