hi, i have spw coilovers with tokico shocks, i recently tried to lower my car and the boot on the strut is like gone... it tore in half... so i took it out.. and now it feelz like my car is bottoming out everytime i hit a small bump... does anyone know for sure itz from the boot...?!

 

I don't really understand what you are asking. Were you using your stock dust boots? Cause these sound like unrelated problems to me. Sounds like your shocks are blown but the ride tends to be bouncy with coilovers anyways. Do you have bumpstops in?

 

hmm... these are fairly new shocks, and the ride is bouncy but itz not too bad since i expected a more bouncy ride with coilovers... yes i do have bumpstops in... and i'm not totally sure if itz called a dust boot.. all i know is that itz a strut boot (went to shucks and thatz what they told me) n e wayz.. thank you for the response

 

did you cut your bumpstops in half when you lowered the car?
