itr catback exhaust wit stock cat
im gettin a itr catback exhuast wit stock cat and i wanna know does it still got performace and stuff like how will it feel ? performace wise and overall vs like a skunk2 or thermal catback exhuast system?
Well, seeing as how you didn't post your setup, I'll put my experiences in...I had an EG with a stock USDM GS-R swap (with a Skunk2 intake mani and AEM short ram) that I ran with a shelled cat and an USDM ITR catback, including the muffler. The car pulled strong, especially in the midrange, and with the muffler dropped, ran good on the top also. However, I never ran it with an aftermarket exhaust, so I can't compare the ITR to others...just my input, hope it helps.
Also might want to look into a custom exhaust if price is an issue, I spent $100 for 2.5 inch catback (not mandrel bend) I'm not sure if the itr oem exhaust has larger diameter piping then an ls or gsr... if it does it might be worth it to swap it out but I'd at least go for a custom exhaust

yes itr has larger diameter piping.
personally i went with a edelbrock header with a 2.5 collector, 2.5 straight pipe to a full jdm itr catback. i love it; great performance with damn near stock sound/look.
