It's unfortunate that people have been having issues with those motors but i think it's impressive how far manufacturers have come in the light weight materials they use to spin these motors so fast.

Ti and other super lightweight internals have started to become the norm..and since it's the beginning of its use on a lot of production bikes, you're bound to see some hiccups.

Kudos to a 16k redline on a 'street' bike and the engineering that it took

My 636 redlines at 15K, but stops making power at 13K. The point of the higher redline is less shifting when on the track.

Seems like some are talking about the ZX-6R instead of the RR?

my friend bought the 05 zx6rr, he hasnt tracked it yet, but its not as powerful as my r6 on the street wise. he cant even power it up in first, even if he WOT. i think its because of the track/suspension setup. for street riding the zx6r is better than the zx6rr IMO

Hopefully his track skills arent as shitty as his wheelie skills.

Funny how the "6RR" has LESS power than the 600RR from Honda, but yet you want Honda to make a bike that revs higher....
