Default 88 accord lx 5spd idling dangerously low

i drive an 88 accord with 230k miles on it. its a 5 speed and about a year back i had some problems where the engine would idle really low, and eventually it just started stalling. the problem was fixed and it had been running fine until about a week ago. its doing it again, idling low but this time its not stalling. i was wondering if anyone could tell me what the problem might be. i have a feeling it could be the power steering because the steering gets really tight sometimes and the wheel is hard to turn. but this could also be because the engine is not giving enough fuel to the power steering. im not sure. i dont want to have to give this car up. its my pride and joy and other than this it runs perfectly. i appreciate any feedback. thanks!

vacuum leak or your idle air control diaphragm is going out... check yourself for leaks and check your diaphraghm... i gurantee those two things are where your problem lies
