Yup the room mate and I are hgoing to town on our garage. We just finished the inside of the house, and now the garage and outside/yard are going to tbe summer projects. Here are the pics from the damage we did today...I'll try and keep it updated as much as possible. This was all from today and we're just ripping the old **** out. I forgot to get a complete before pic

Hhaha, yeh we have 2 huge shopvacs waiting..all that stuff was just in the garage and we are cleaning and re-doing it. As for the driveway..its in the future.

 

2 cars can fit in that garage? Looks kinda small.

Nah, its gonna be the area to store and work on them ... we both park outside so there's no arguement about parking in the garage.

LOL, neither one of us have alarms..here in the midwest, we dont have to worry about car jackings that much. Maybe the occasional stereo stealing...but our stock CD units aren't good enough to warrant a break in..well, not yet anyways. *knocks on wood*

Hhaha, yeh right...whoever steals my car is gonna be let the **** down.

 

More progress...got 99% of the old wall **** out, just some detail work to be done. Clean and swept, ready for some detail work and dry-walling/taping/mudding/paint...I'd say we are 50% along.

After moving all the stuff out that we are keeping:


How we ended the day...Almost completely clean, still some minor work left on the clean up:

we just got done doing ours so that both cars can fit...good luck

you better insulate that ****! rock the rolled insulation. it comes in like 14" width perfect to tack right up between all the framing before you install all the drywall.

i'd do it here in cali just for added comfort while wrenching when it drops below 50 during dec/jan, not to mention the ball freezing midwest.

im jelous, i wish i could get a house around here right now to start modding haha. it'd be more fun than a car. welp, maybe next decade... keep us posted!

Yeh we plan on laying some insulation down first. And fixing this house up has been a long, but still great time. My dad has been a contractor for 10+ years now and he has ALL the hook-ups not to mention, him and I can do just about anything that was needed...the room mate knows his **** too so the 3 of us mated with some of my dads buddies gets the job done. I'll keep this updated and unless something major happens this wont take too much longer.

As for which gets the garage...NEITHER, unless its getting worked on or broken. ALOT less conflict this way..its more of a work place/ storage then a parking area.
