hi guys
i was talkin to my friend about cars and stuff (he dont know much about cars) and he told me to get flowmaster exhaust cuz that's supposed to be the best s**t around, nothing better than that. at least that's what he said. Is flowmaster really that good?

could u give more detail? why is it not good? why are others better?

All it is is a muffler. You can get other mufflers that flow the same or better.

 

so flowmaster is not a full exhaust?

 

That's correct. You need a cat-back exhaust, such as the Greddy SP, Mugen, Apexi N1, Tanabe, etc.

Flowmaster is good if you have, say a MUSTANG, CAMARO or FORD EXPLORER

 

Or an turbo honda that needs a 3" muffler.

 

My 5.0 sounds great dynomax...if anything, i have heard guys with imports use dynomax mufflers

yeah man, flows are only good on a domestic shoot for a greddy or even mugen if yore a baller yo knnoww what im sayin

 

if you want a cheap universal muffler go with magnaflow, mang!

 

A good high flow muffler on a domestic will be a good high flow muffler on an import
As far as airflow is concerned motors are motors. The only thing a catback for 500+ gives you is mandrel bent tubing. This is a benifit but IMO if you upsize the pipe from the cat to the muffler 1/2 in. from a 500+ catback system and put a quality high flow muffler on the end of it you should get just as much benifit for $200-$250. Just my SWAG (Scientific Wild *** Guess).
