dunno how you guys will react to this, but i think it would be cool to take a quick break from the photoshop contests and have a photo contest

so if it sounds good to u guys, lets have a photocontest not related to cars. so break out ur cameras and go get creative

post <U>ONLY</u> your final pic so when the poll is made you get the one you want

<U>NEW RULES</u>
1) Photo must be taken after sunday the 22nd
2) NO MACRO shots...
3) The theme is....... _____(pending if we decide to have one)______
4) Not too much photoshopping
-color/brghtness/contrast/levels/borders etc is OK, but no greying out background, or anything major, i wanna see som photography skills

I think the bracket should be closed, and you should ask for a specific thing in the photo. "theme" or something along those lines...

 

if u guys want to set a theme go for it, i dont know what in specific to ask for. i was just looking for people to get sum unique pics, but pick a theme if you want

 

I wasnt tryin to rain in or anything, but i was trying to make sure your contest went a little smoother.

It only takes talent, expensive cameras don't take good pictures, good photgraphers do.

I say we do NO MACRO shots as they've severely played.

yeah but auto focus only allows you to do so much. i would use my 50Eqd, but i dont have the $$ to get it devoloped in time.

I've taken some of my best shots with my Coolpix 4200 which has no manual focus. All you really need to be able to set the shutter speed and aperature, manual focus is overrated.

 

Some rules should be that it can not be a picture taken before the contest. As in you have to go out and take it in the contest's time period. And also there should be a theme. It is hard to vote on pictures that all have different meaning/setting/themes.

Also a size limit.

Maybe Ill do one.

... not really, EXIF readers give you all that info.

I guess for this contest do a no rules one, and from here on out enforce rules and other stuff. With that said, here's an oler one I took:

i agree. give these guys a chance to post up all their BEST photos. after that...kinda pick a subject on what to shoot, so they'll have to go out and take the pics. I love this thread even though i can't take pics for ****

i have an OLYMPUS C-740 Ultra Zoom...its auto but i can adjust the shutter speed and what not. is there a site where i can learn more about photography, or just to learn when to use the appropriate shutter speed etc. this thread and all the beautiful car pics on this site inspires me to use my camera more often but its not manual focus. help a brotha out!
