wierrrrrrd
so i was taking apart my motor and the harness (d16a6) and what not and i noticed that there was these two plug type of things right a bove my oil filter.......
one of them had only one little pin sitcking out of it and the other one right next to it has two pins sticking out of it.... the wierd thing is that when i went and look at my jdm d15 (swaping in there) that that motor only has the plug with the single pin and it doesnt have the one with the double pins and in its place is just a simple nut...... so i was thinking that that was pretty wierd and do i need the one with the two pins or not.......??????

oh niiiiiiiiiicccccccceeeeeeee that is a big sigh of relief cause i accidentally broke one of the pins from the one with the two pins....... and what are those by the way
The single pin connector is for your oil-pressure "dummy" light on the dash.
The dual pin connector is the obd-0 fan switch. It connects the circuit when the coolant reaches a certain temp to turn on your radiator fans. On the obd-1+ motors (like i'm guessing your d15 is..) it's a different style, and its by the thermostat housing. It's also a 2-pin connector, but uses a single plug instead of the two separate wires.

yea you do .. that is your thermoswitch... that actual check the coolant temp then turns on the fans like what MR CRX SAID... which is required in your cooling system....if you dont have that it wont turn your fan on and you will just overheat
Yup. Take the two wires that originally went to that 2-pin switch on the back of the block, and connect them to the two pins on the thermostat housing plug (it's just a regular 2-pin connector). The order of the wires doesn't matter, since the switch just completes the circuit.
