Default stock lug nuts + volk TE-37? is this ok?

i already searched, found nothing.

tried to post in wheels, tires and suspension, but for some reason, i can't.

so my question is: can you use stock honda lugs on volk te-37 (or other volks?). i know that you "shouldn't" since the volks take tapered nuts and the stock hondas are rounded, but does it really matter?

TIA!

u can use them, but they will deform the nut seat on the rim a bit.

i did this on my slipshits for verylong becuase i didnt realized it, never fell off either, but i would just spend the extra 50 bucks on a set of nuts man, ur rims are $$$$

it is not the quality of the lug thats in question....

its the fact that the base of the lugnut is a different shape

I wouldn't do it.

If you're that anxious, get some mutekis for $30 off the sponsor on here.. he'll have them to you within 2 days. It's better than messing up those sexy rims.

I used stock lugs on my LE37T's. They were fine. It just scratched the rim a little bit (where the lugs touch the rims), no biggie.

you need a lug with a conical seat, not a domed seat like the stock lugs. it is pretty dangerous indeed, and bad for the wheels.

you can get a set of gorilla tuner lugs for about 1.25 a lug at a tire shop, or you can get a set of blingy lugs somewhere else if you like.
