1991 Black MR2 Turbo For Sale in Charlotte NC
I just recently got a new job and I feel bad putting ~50 miles a day on the MR2 communiting to and from work in her...So I need to try to sell it asap to get something I dont care about putting tons of miles and something thats more fuel efficient
Black on Black cloth, Excelent condition inside and out. Very few dings and scratches, only one minor tear in the interior about an inch long on the drivers side door armrest. 5speed, Power everything, cold AC + hot Heat, T-Tops, CD player....non powersteering model. ~136k miles, only about 1k since rebuilt top-end.
Mods: (I think this is all of them...I always miss something when I try to remember)
GT2540R internally gated at 11psi spring
Blitz SBC Spec ID (only set at 14psi occassionally, I keep at 11 most of the time for fuel reasons)
KO Racing 3" catback
eXtreem Boost 3in DP
Greddy SMIC
Greddy EGT and Boost electronic gauges
Apexi TT
Ported intake, exhaust manifolds as well as the head
TRD short shifter
ACT Stage 3 clutch (less than 9k miles on it, really beefy)
ATS Throttle Body Inlet
Tokico 5ways
Intrax springs
Wed's 3peice wheels
Rear tires less than 2k miles on them
Included:
Stock Wheels with tires
Stock IC
A second tranny--2nd gen JDM-- (Was going to be a rebuild project-needs speedo gear and it will be perfect)
A second exhaust manifold, not taped for EGT
Greddy Oil Catch Can not put in
Full stock suspension
Misc. random parts
The good stuff:
--All records, Im the 3rd owner...car has been babbied and oil changed every 2-3k miles religiously.
--Less than 1k miles ago the following was preformed:
-Head Gasket (stock new Toyota)
-Rebuilt Head with new gaskets and everything
-Timing Belt
-Water Pump
-Oil Pump
-Alternator
-Thermostat
-Knock Sensor
-Helicoiled all exhaust manifold bolts *Never have a problem with them again!
--Runs AMAZINGLY. Nothing drips at all. Very Very little oil consumption. She flies.
--Since I have owned it, She has ALWAYS started for me...even on 8degree mornings.
--I was goign to have the bottom end redone too, but my mechanic said there was no reason too because it was in too good condition to worry about doing that.
The Bad:
--I broke the oil level sensor when I did the oil pan gasket about 2k miles ago...My mechanic and I agreed it would be a huge waste of money considering the very low oil consumption, so I havent replaced it.
--I had to put fix-a-flat in my front right tire, threw off the balance a bit. Steeringwheel shakes only a little from 60-65mph. Prior to the repair, it was as smooth as glass.
Asking $8000 OBO...Make reasonable offer, wont refuse much.

Thanks for the bump
Well the 10k pays for a LOT more invested in this car...Like I said, I need to pay off the headwork and stuff with money left over for a downpayment on something.

That car is the @hiiiitt. I've been looking for a car like that, just without that price tag.
Too bad you can't take all that aftermarket stuff out and leave it stock and sell it for less so we can afford to make an offer..

yeah he ended the auction for me, there is mention of some paper work error, but car fax doesnt see it, whatever. I dont know what you mean by the mods not being real, I guess you mean it doesnt have so many non oem parts dealer probably wont touch it like my integra, and isnt highly over powered or runs 12's, if thats what u mean, your 100% right, I jsut like the way it looks though, I was looking for an nsx, but this is hella cheaper, I was originally gonna get a NA mr2, but this one really appealed to me so, i got r done.
yeah seems no timing belt or head gasket are mentioned to have being replaced, HG can be an issue on these engines, if u take em apart and dont resurface stuff.
but timing belt, hmm well its a non interference engine ya know, sounds like some stuff fer this winter. honestly the mods were exactly what i was looking for, as i said, i was goin for an na one but fell in love wid this one, so it seems, to each there own.
its got nice 17x8 rear wheels! and 17X7 fronts 93s have better brakes and tranny to start with, and 93 turbos are all lsd trannys too.
urs loox really nice foe shoe, doh u gotta sell it **** son!
goodluck
