They are nice and sturdy. Heavy, but sturdy.

a bar that runs across the shock towers to act as a brace. usually the first upgrade anyone would do to their car next to the intake/filter.

As for it being a first upgrade. I wouldnt really consider a first upgrade. If it is than youre wasting your money because its not doing anything. The only time youd notice it would be on a track if you were taking extreme turns and youve done your suspension from the ground up with quality parts. Ive seen guys with cheap drop zone coilovers and junk tires with strut bars and it defeats the whole purpose of it. If you did brakes, rotors, springs, shocks, wheels than maybe yeah I guess youd finish it off with a nice strut bar. Your tires will make 1000x times of a difference on a turn than a strut bar will. It should be one of the last things you waste money on.

Dropping a car more than 2 inchs and drive it crazy is hard on chassis... There is where your front and rear strut bar make sense. If you got the OEM suspension, no sway-bar upgrade then it is really a lost of money...

When you upgrade your suspension (spring+shocks) then I would say that front strut is a good idea... The rear one is really worth when doing sway-bar upgrade and for solo+ autocros

I agree... that's a front bar... those brackets aren't right for the rear.

I bought an OEM ITR strut bar off the classifieds.

Yeah, there are some fake ITR bars on Ebay, but they're not that bad. If you want to get one cheap just go with the fake. Just make sure to get one with the center reinforcement like the OEM ones. They're pretty much the same.

An easy way to tell if the bar is a fake is by looking at the mounting brackets. On my bar the brakcets are a graphite grey, while the Ebay fakes are just black.

I'd do like 99IntegraGS and keep up with the classifieds section here.

*Sigh* I wish I had the money to get front and rear OEM Type-R "Struct" bars.

dont buy from that seller on ebay. i got that bar, front and back combo, the back one fit, the front one was identical to the one you listed from ebay. it does not fit on my car. a 99 LS. it fits into the holes NEXT TO the strut towers. i have since got one that does fit. the other is still sitting in my basement. and yea...it does nothing. if you want a brace that will do something brace it all the way around, not just one place. and make sure to put an H brace underneath

the itr bar is not suppose to go unto the shock bolts...it's suppose to be bolted to the two holes you see just ot the side of the shocks, if you don't have an ITR or gsr, you will see just holes (with caps unless they have been removed) where the itr bar is suppose to mount.
