kyb agx adjustables...question
i have a 92 civic si with agx 4-ways and eibach pro kit springs...ive been running all the shocks on setting 3, ive tested them out on 4 a couple times through some hard corners. does it matter if they are set on 4 all the time? i keep them on 3 now. also, is this true: while adjusting the shock if you push down too hard on the dial, can it blow the shock? i've heard this, but didnt know if it was true, so ive always adjusted them very very slowly and carefully. can too much adjusting damage them?
thanks for any help
thanks for any help
leaving them on 4 should be just fine. I have those shocks on an integra and usually just leave them at 1 or 2 most of the time. Sounds like you are adjusting them correctly. I never heard of blowing them by pushing down too hard on the adjustment screw, but then again, I never felt the need to mash it down with the screw driver. I just push down, turn, release.
the stiffer they are, the harder they have to work. obviously leaving them at a lower setting will allow them to last longer. you dont want to overdampen the car. that is also bad.
