Default turbo vs. swap?: 6th gen

ok, i know some of you are going to say: "hit the search button". i did, and didnt find exactly what i was looking for.

heres the deal, i have a 98 accord 4cyl with auto. (i know, i know) anyways, i have a job now making good money and thought about just selling it all together and getting a already decently fast car, but i realized i still like my car.

the clutches in the tranny are on there way out in 1st gear,
so i was wondering what kind of power are people getting out of the H22 and what about turboing. what swap or turbo would you go with? what are the pros and cons, price diff and reliability? this is a daily driver that usually gets alot of miles.

any help would be appreciative, thanks ahead of time

converting it to a manual and then boosting it, if done properly, will produce higher torque numbers than an H swap.....being that the 6th gen is so heavy, that torque goes a long way

I'm pretty much in your same situation. Almost 2 years ago I decided too boost my auto 6gen. I'm extreamly happy with the outcome, but I now want more. So I'm currently saving up for a H23 tranny swap with LSD, full engine build up of a spare block, and EMS unit.

Would I do it again? Yes, but in a different order. I would do the tranny swap, buildup, then boost.
