YO neuspeed race how to compress it... help!
i got to the part where i needed to compress the spring to get the tophat on and the spring compressor i got from autozone is to big cant go between the coils on the neuspeed spring.. so what do i do.. do you make it fit.. do i get a friend to push it down.. the shocks are koni sp3s
I just did my suspension. i went with tein s-tech springs and kyb gr-2 struts. I was able to push it down enough with one hand while i screwed the nut on enough to hold it. Then i tightened it the rest of the way with a deep socket (which surprised me cause in the past i've always needed an impact gun). So yeah thats all the help i can really give you.

NEVER use an impact on the nut.
NEVER use an impact on the nut.
The Neuspeed springs should be short enough...NOT to need a spring compressor. Just re-assemble the shock/springs/bumpstops/washers/top hat by hand...you'll see.
I still think it sucks that all the auto parts stores switched to those shitty *** FAT spring compressors. They don't fit between any Honda coils that I've seen. The old stamped steel units were much easier...
its identical in size to the factory spring.. i had it all apart.. just the neuspeed spring has more coils that are closer together.. so i needed the spring compressor or so i thought.. when i put the neuspeed spring on the koni shock it needed to be compressed (plus i was working on this by myself ..) if i had a friend helping im sure we could just push it down i dunno ill figure something out..
I just helped my cousin install neuspeed race on his eg hatch a few weeks ago. His springs were much shorter than the oem springs. To get the top hat on we just compressed the assembly by hand until there was enough thread to screw the nut on. then once it was back on the car we torqued it down. You shouldnt need to use a compressor.
